Making books with Saburo Ohta

Children enjoyed creating covers in collage for their own books. Seeing boxes full of used stamps in bright colours and interesting designs and envelopes, their eyes lit up – choosing from so many was an exciting and difficult task! Now we wonder what’s in their books.

Saburo Ohta is a renowned artist as his appearance on Bi no Jikan, an art programme on NHK and contributions to Bijyutsu Techo, an established art magazine, indicates. He is well known for his conceptual art form such as‘Stamp Project’ and ‘Seed Project’ – mixing seeds in the paper making process and using the product to create his art work.
