Having arrived at a derelict temple in Kuse, a neibouring town of Katsuyama, as a young zen priest some thirty years ago, Shodo took on the renovation and redecoration of Mairaiji temple to himself and has transformed the temple with his woodblock prints. He has shown his works in New York City, Santa Fe and London.
