Saburo Ota has been inspiring us and stretching our thoughts with a series of his conceptual art such as ‘Date Stamps’, ‘Seed Project’ and ‘Post War’, in which the dates and places of postmarks on the stamps holds the core of the concept indicating the continuation and expansion of time and space, and also pinpointing particular places and time in history.

In November he will be bringing an exhibition very different from any other we have had at Hishio. He will transform Hishio Kura into his intimate living and studio environment, where he will be working during the exhibition.
