The World of Hyakunin Isshu (one hundred people, one poem each) and Flowers* Hyakunin Isshu is a traditional anthology style of compiling Japanese waka short poetry.

The Collaboration of “Hyakunin Isshu” and Flowers.
Hishio Arts exhibit the “Hyakunin Isshu”, which is donated to Maniwa City, written by Toukou SHINODA and illustrated by Tadashi MORIYA. They are the leading artists of modern times today. Houou Kiyotomo and Fujie Goan create the graceful world by flowers. As for the traditional game goods, “Hyakunin Issu” from Meiji to Showa period and TOSENKYO(the traditional game of throwing hand-held fans) will be also exhibited.
As to the co-hosting event, “The Dolls sent by UCHIDA Hyakken” will be exhibited with the cooperation of Okayama Culture Foundation. The dolls associated with UCHIDA Hyakken are particularly worth seeing, who’s been in the news celebrating the 120th anniversary of his birth last year.
