Pharaoh’s Footsteps: an exhibition of etchings by Hideo Furuta

He created “Spinning Cubes” for Hishio in 2005. He was famous for his public sculpture but also a renowned draught-man and etcher.
He has exhibited his work at many prestigious venues including the 10th Ibiza Graphic Biennale in1982 and the 5th Wroclaw International Drawing Triennale, Poland in 1992. In 1984 he was a visiting lecturer at the Institute of Visual Art and Faculty of Philosophy and Humanities, University of Austral, Chile, where he taught etching and engraving techniques and also held a series of print exhibitions.
