Contrary to her elegant appearance in public, inside her studio Mie Yoshimura toils and sweats with a towel around her neck as she creates beautifully stylized shapes from iron, stainless steel and glass. Her inspiration comes from letters and characters, which have always fascinated her having grown up with an avant-garde calligrapher mother.
